Papa Roach and Moving

Change or Die by Papa Roach

I went to my last gig before I leave for Greece on Saturday just gone, four of us piled into the car and drove to Birmingham to see Papa Roach, and what a FANTASTIC gig it was! Papa Roach are very much my Unsung Heroes. In the last decade their music has helped me through more ups and downs than any other bands music has.

I’ve had a lot of times when I have felt completely alone, like I am the only person who feels the way I do and somehow Papa Roach have always had a song I can relate to. Even now when I’m coming through the other side and much more capable of standing on my own two feet their music finds a way to connect with me.

Saturday was only the second time I’ve seen them live and it was absolutely superb. I, of course, caused myself great pain in the ‘pit’ at the gig…I’m definitely feeling it more now than I did 10 years ago! But it was all worth it!

So now that the gig is over, I finished work yesterday, we have drinks tomorrow evening with friends (in a ‘rock’ pub of course!), and then we fly to Greece on Tuesday. It has all come around so quickly but I’m very much looking forward to a summer in Greece, even if I will be working harder than I work in the UK!
