The EP features one original song Section 8,the grinding guitars and raw vocals are pure Whitechapel and ensure that this intense track will hook fans and guarantee their buy in to this EP.
The next track is a cover of Pantera’s Strength Beyond Strength, and what a corking cover it is aswell, this track really is a tribute to Pantera, awesome stuff!
The next two tracks are remixes of Whitechapel tracks Breeding Violence and This is Exile now these are definitely a matter of taste, as I was told by MADman over at Metal Harmony “They just made me confused and uncomfortable and not in a good way”. Personally, I liked them, I liked the electro industrial feel to them. But you get the idea…you’re either going to love them or hate them!
Then there is the acoustic version of End of Flesh, honestly I’m just plain confused by this one…I really just can’t get my head around it. Whitechapel and acoustic? No, these are not two words I ever thought I would use in the same sentence. Honestly, it’s not bad, it’s just not what I expect from Whitechapel, or want to hear when I listen to Whitechapel.
All in all, this isn’t a bad EP, would rather be listening to a new album though!
