…so I chose some from one of my favourite books to say it for me today.
“I don’t want to see anyone. I lie in the bedroom with the curtains drawn and nothingness washing over me like a sluggish wave. Whatever is happening to me is my own fault. I have done something wrong, something so huge I can’t even see it, something that’s drowning me. I am inadequate and stupid, without worth. I might as well be dead.”
― Margaret Atwood, Cat’s Eye

I'm BrizzleLass, I am a bookworm and my book blog BrizzleLass Books is where I share my love of books by writing reviews, sharing guest posts from authors, interviews and even the odd bookish giveaway!
I have Bipolar and have been dealing with mental illness in one form or another since childhood, I was first diagnosed with depression at nine. It's not easy speaking out about my experiences, some of them are extremely painful, but if I can help even one person then I have succeeded in sharing my story. My personal blog BrizzleLass.co.uk is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me.

The amount of times I’ve felt PRECISELY like that is too frightening to think about. I’d guesstimate over the last 20 years, about 80% of my time has been spent in my various bedrooms ALWAYS with the curtains drawn. 😦
